Delta M. “Corkie”Bolton, 87, of Robinson formerly of Oblong, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 20, 2018. She passed away at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.
A Celebration of Corkie’s Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday June 26, 2018 at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Bro. Jeff Monroney will officiate. Burial will follow next to Chuck in the Hutsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Monday June 25, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Crawford County Humane Society with envelopes at or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O.Box 121 Oblong, IL 62449.
Corkie was born on July 16, 1930 in Olney, IL and was the daughter of Frank Anderson and Lora (James) Anderson. On September 18, 1948 she married Charles N. “Chuck” Bolton who preceded her in death on August 30, 2001.
She moved to Crawford County in 1948 and started working at the Sugar Bowl in Robinson, IL. Throughout the years, she also worked Bob’s Steak House, Wal-Mart and the Liquor Rack all in Robinson. Corkie was a member of the Prior Grove Baptist Church; Charter member of the Tri County Bikers, Oblong Community Ruritan Club and Oblong Community Service Club. Corkie and Chuck loved riding motorcycles. Corkie also enjoyed bowling; fishing; crocheting and especially cooking. No one ever walked away hungry from a meal that Corkie had made. Most of all, she loved the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Corkie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Gary Brush and Debbie and Jim Poettker all of Robinson, IL; five grandchildren Angie and Bob Mullins of Robinson, IL, Andi and Dave Marqua of Robinson, IL, Jeremy and Brooke Brush of Lawrenceville, IL, Mandie and Von Hilderbrand of Marshall, IL and Colt and Krystal Poettker of Annapolis, IL; one step granddaughter Brittany “Brit” Marqua of Terre Haute, IN; seven great grandchildren Candace Mullins, Ethan Mullins, Addyson Brush, Olivia Brush, Evan Hilderbrand, Cooper Hilderbrand and James Robert Poettker as well as several cousins .
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.
